
Dow Corning® High Vacuum Grease
Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease is designed for sealing and lubricating vacuum and pressure systems. It is a stiff, nonmelting silicone lubricating material that maintains its consistency from -40 to 204°C (-40 to 400°F). It is used in applications similar to those for Dow Corningï¾® Stopcock Grease, and is the recommended replacement for that product.
Previously, it is known as Dow Corning 976 or 976V High Vacuum Grease. Any specifications calling for Dow Corning 976 or Dow Corning 976V can be satisfied with Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease.
Applications:
- Seals and lubricates chemical processing equipment
- Lubricating plug valves, control valves, flow meter bearings, ceramic plug cocks, fire extinguisher valves, water treating equipment, synthetic rubber
gaskets and seals in high temperature applications - Sealing vacuum and pressure systems
- Lubricating O-rings in binoculars and telescopes. Prevents fogging of delicate lenses.
